CNNMoney: Diesel Cars are Returning to America

In further confirmation that our choices for diesel vehicles are about to get much broader. CNNMoney wrote an article about how we'll be seeing a bunch of new choices over the next year or two.

Highlights include revelations that the following car manufacturers will be bringing back diesel vehicles

  • BMW will bring its 3.0 twin turbo diesel in 2008
  • Mercedes will expand its diesel lineup
  • Audi will send over a Q7 SUV
  • Nissan will bring over a Maxima
  • Honda promises several new diesesls
  • Hyundai will bring a diesel Veracruz SUV

And, of course, American car companies are behind on the times (again). Neither Ford nor GM have any plans for diesel cars. Angry

We invite you to join the discussion of diesel vehicles over in the Biodiesel Vehicles section of our forums.

This is great but what about in MA?  Any word on being able to purchase new diesels and register them here?

VW already announced that their upcoming 2008 Jetta is 50-state legal. I think the others will be able to follow suit with the widespread availability of ULSD.
