Hi all,
For reasons I don't want to get into here, I feel compelled to get a motion-sensing security camera for my house. I'd want something that can document people coming by my house, ideally saving it on a computer wirelessly. Any suggestions? I don't want to break the bank, but I want something reliable.
Thanks!

I've been planning to replace my existing Logitech low quality cam and motion software in my shop with a better quality one. I've been looking at putting something like this up LINK -- and might even use my Eye-Fi SD card which will upload images over my wireless network and the included software will even upload the photos in near real time to a photo-sharing site. My friend is one of the developers over at Eye-Fi, and it's definitely a cool technology.

I've found myself wanting to upgrade to the new card so that I can wirelessly have my photos sent to my notebook even when I'm not on my home network. This would be especially nice if that new 'connected device' was let's say my Palm Pre rather than my notebook computer! (don't know if it can do that yet)
Hi Rich,
Did you ever get the camera? How do you like it? How's the image quality?

Nope not yet.
As for the EyeFi card, I'm enjoying the first generation 4GB Wifi SD card. Works great when I'm at the house and connected to my network, but can't use it when traveling with the Palm Pre set up as a WiFi router/access point just yet. That's going to be a nice set up when it works with my camera and can automatically upload a photo from my Canon DSLR to whatever location I want as I'm taking the photos. So far with a hacked Pre and MyTether the connections have been great.
