We are in Colmar. Keith
I'm about an hour North of Pittsburgh near Petrolia (no joke). I've made small batches used in a diesel furnace but I bought a diesel truck so it's time to get serious. I have a 24 x 30 steel garage just for BD processing so as soon as the weather breaks it's brewing time. My email address is mlucas@lucasoffroad.com.
Hello my first post I am in Hershy PA area and just starting to do reasearch on doing home brew. I would just like to purchase from a producer but was unhappy to find that the good old Commonwealth of PA was able to mess things up for comercial producer's.
What is the state preventing you to do? I was about to start calling some producers, to see if I could fill up some drums to store at home for my truck.
I'm working on it. Biggest drawback so far is getting methanol and magnesol d-sol. That's really my only big issues. Any supplier help appreciated close to Lancaster.
Newbie to this forum. Just found it. Willing to share experiences and insight for biodiesel homebrewing. NEED METHANOL and MAGNESOL to get started. Just about everything else is in place to get started including my first 20 gals. of WVO collected from my turkey fryer!
Thank you all.
For Methanol, and NaOH, or KOH contact Jason at Evolutioncamat AOL.Com. I brew with Jason. He set up a nation account with a chemical company for these products. NaOH, or KOH need to be ordered a 100 pounds at a time. Methanol needs to be delivered to a business address. Tell Jason I told you to cantact him. Keith
I'm in Douglassville and have been producing since 2003. My supplier has been Maple Grove and I too have been paying $175.00 per drum. The last time it took me 3 trips to the track since they did not seem to have thier inventory straight between Lube vs. Clear. I'd love to know who your source is in York.
Hello I am in York Pa and I just started brewing biodiesel. I found a methanol source called Fletchers farm in East Berlin off of 234. They sell it by the gallon. There is also a place right here in York that sells 55 gallon drums. Murphys machine.com has a supplier locator for every state. Do you have much experience processing biodiesel? I would be very interested in any advice from someone local.
I'm in Emmaus next to Allentown. I am torn between converting my oil burner to WVO and getting hooked up with some making biodiesel close by. I read "Biodiesel: Basics and Beyond" by W.H.Kemp and am inspired by that system.
I've got the WVo and the diesel and I'm in the process of making a filtration systwem. Any ideas wopuld be really helpful.
