Automobile [au] Where to get biodiesel in Georgia

Please use this forum to list locations biodiesel can be bought. If you have other info, such as hours, price, address, web site, etc, please also list it. There are a pair of fairly comprehensive lists here: http://www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodiesel/retailfuelingsites/default.shtm and http://afdcmap.nrel.gov/locator/LocatePane.asp

From TDIClub: As of today you can have it pumped into your car - just call ahead. Today's B100 - $2.12 all taxes included. They were good enough to construct a hose and nozzle this morning. Great folks. They are not too far off 75N, Dobbins exit SA White - http://www.sawhite.com/

SA White is selling B100 for $2.78/gal, all taxes included. This is quite a price drop from earlier.

My dad is the Chief Operating Officer at a company that produces "Soymet" biodiesel. Peach State Labs is in Rome, GA (where there are 2 distributors of biodiesel), and they've got a full scale manufacturing facility. I thought it couldn't hurt to tell folks in the Atlanta area about it. Here is the contact information: Peach State Labs, Inc. PO Box 5424 Rome, GA 30162 Phone: (800) 634-1653 www.peachstatelabs.com Retailers in GA: http://www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodiesel/retailfuelingsites/showstate.asp?st=GA For years I've driven a fuel-efficient Honda and have telecommuted to do my part. Recently, (thanks to dad) I've been looking into the biodiesel option, and was surprised that it's not easier to find distribution in Atlanta. Michelle Sanchez

I called SA White. They will consider private deliveries in bulk. If you have several folks who drive diesel powered vehicles, and, if you can place a skid tank, they will bring you diesel fuel

Re: 24/7 B100 Pump in Atlanta, GA

Iam in this Biodiesel business since one year in southern part of India.

My experience with various consumers ranging from Tractors to latest cars since eight months seems to be only on two vital issues.

The price of Biodiesel.(Not more than Rs30/liter.)

     The reachability factor.(The Dispensing system)

Otherwise, I never propogated or expressed any fear on the use of B100 in all makes of Diesel engines 100%.

I myself consumed around 4000liters in Tata Sumo 2000 model covering about 42000Kms.

Except the change of   Filters or the odour( in case of Fish oil)  based Biodiesel We found good efficiency and efective working of the engines.

Of course! The exceptional worry in case of poor soap wash of Biodiesel or the presence of thinny layer like glycerine might disturb the pump to some extent.

Athens Ga has a chevron station owned by Boswell Oil where they have B20 in a side pump. They also have their hub off Jefferson rd on Floyd street where you can get any blend including B99 and they also deliver bulk. I live 35 miles out and get 250 gallons delivered every 10 weeks or so.  8-5 five days a week at the hub. $3.38 now.
