    Free Used Cooking Oil

Could someone please tell me who might be interested in used cooking oil? I have several locations around Kanas that some one could pick up free oil. Thanks

I will likely be interested very soon. I have a couple sources lined up in Wichita, and hope to begin using it very soon. Not sure how much demand I'll have initially (to power just my own vehicle at first). What part of the states are your source(s) in? Also, are you creating bd already? Or you just have extra oil?

Mike, I am in Wichita and travel within 100 miles of here regulary. Let me know if I can share in the oil you have available. Paul, I have a 2003 Duramax. I absolutely love it, and I love it even more when it smells like french fries! Good luck. Ben "and the Biodiesel shall set you free."

I work for Darling International, Inc. We are a rendering company, and recycle used cooking oil into animal feed. We are currently paying up to $.03 per lb. in the Wichita, KS area and have service in California, Nevada, Florida, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and a few other areas. We've been in operation since 1882, so we are not a fly-by-night operation. Please contact me at 1-800-999-3956 if you are in need of used cooking oil disposal. Thank you. Justin-Darling International, Inc.

I am in the middle of Kansas, and would gladly pay a small amount to keep the renderers away from any oil. I will pay up to 15 cents a gallon for oil, mostly water free.

Putting good fuel into the mouths of animals is not what this site intends to support. You may have noticed some of us make biodiesel here. Corn fed beef sounds good to me!

Darling Representatives, This forum is designed to further the learning, production, and collaboration of BIODIESEL. Im sure that everyone involved welcomes your participation if it has to do with the subject at hand. However, your posts have not reflected that at this point. Out of respect for the local biodiesel community, Im sure we all would appreciate you refraining from advertising your rendering service. I think there are better avenues for your company to do that elsewhere. Again, we all would welcome your participation on the subject of biodiesel. Thank you. "and the Biodiesel shall set you free."

If any grease producer/user/restaraunt in Kansas is currently thinking green, I will try my best to equal any profit you are currently recieving from renderers. I can make a container to fit your needs, and keep the area clean with my powerwasher. I understand profit is profit in business, my brother and I intend to suit the need of every opportunity.

I think you've lost site of the big picture Ben. Some day these rendering companies, which Steve speaks so highly of, could very possibly be the largest supplier of biodiesel in the world! So instead of considering them an enemy to biodiesel maybe we should be pushing them to get into gear so we can all have a cheaper alternative source of fuel.

JackJ are you mentally handicapped??? Do you not see that the renderers are currently trying to supress the homebrewers to protect their animal feed business? I am all for them making biodiesel from the grease they do have, but you need get your head straight. I'll leave it up to you to convince the renderers to make bio instead of animal feed, in the mean time I will actually produce some of it. That is all. "and the Biodiesel shall set you free."

Would be interested in any used cooking oil, trying to start a small industry that will help out rural NE Kansas town. Thanks. Been researching this for years, but having trouble locating used oil. Can provide containers, cleaning and pickup service. Jocelin
