    Great info E. Thanks!
    One day, a hurricane could hit the Gulf of Mexico! (it will never happen, right) The last time that happened... Gas was over $3.00 per gallon! And still is! What do you think it will cost the next time this happens?

    ebztz,

    thought i would shift the conversation to this thread.

    your comment;

    "I can give you some hints on how to conform to standards more economically."

    what have you found out? i know if you read between the lines in comm 10, plastic tanks are legal if you stay under a certain gallon amount. other than that, i'm still researching.

    i see by your future website that you are the one that took the "northcentral" name. good choice. i have one going as well, but not quite setup yet. hopefully in a month or so. mainly, i'm making for myself also, maybe sell some here or there but not as a routine. just looking to do the rite thing. if they want us to pay the road tax, i figure what the heck, i should be able to claim rebates and tax bennies as well.

    So are you going to sell for on-road use and go through the EPA stuff (via the NBB), or sell for strictly off-road purposes?

    Wow, so many rules. My favorite by far has to be the DNR classification of WVO as a hazardous substance. It makes sense in consideration of all the facts - just not "common sense".

    lol... biodegradable hazardous substance ...lol

     DNR-----common sense?  i see no correlation there.

    i believe that this technology is so new to everyone that they just put a big clamp down on everything to cover their a#$.

    the epa and nbb stuff is whats holding me up currently. trying to find out if i have to be a nbb menber (i believe so) and what is gonna be the cost. cha ching.

    i just think that if i have to pay the road tax, i should be able to collect the tax bennies also. it's only fair....

    I have been working with my local government, and have had contact with the dept. of commerce regarding just distributing biodiesel. They are not making it easy.

    If I could tell Gov. Doyle one thing, it's great to support alternative fuel, but don't make it so difficult with regulations.

    The state regulations are exactly why I started NorthCentral. I'm hoping to help small producers (farmers, mostly) work through the legals while funding my schooling. As I learn more, I'll update the first post of this thread. I'll know substantially more after my meeting with the DNR next week.
