    Heating with biodiesel

Hi, I have just started playing around with Biodiesel for Heating.
I have simply got a 500ML metal container and added a wick.
I have installed a 12volt fan behind it and put a metal case around it.
I plug it into a wall outlett (though a adaptor), light it, and it heats our
dinning room in about 10 minutes. 500ML will keep it going for about 45 minutes though.

Thoughts on this would be great,

    Hamish

What percentage of biodiesel are you going to be using? Up to a b20 blend should require no modifications.

So far, I have used 50/50. 50% Bio and 50% dino diesel.
I was quite shocked to see that it doesent smell or smoke.

What measures do you have in place for proper ventilation, and fire prevention?

The whole 'burner' is on a rather heavy metal base because of it being made of metal. So it cant tip over. As for ventilation, it runs very very clean with no smoke or soot, It is even hard to smell it.

Why not try the  fuel in  kerosene heater ? Has anyone tried this ? 500 ml, is that 1/2 a liter ? That is quite a consumption rate in 45 minutes
