How do I test biodiesel I make or buy to make sure it is OK? How do I know it's biodiesel and not something else? Putting in my truck and seeing what happens just does not sound like a good idea to me.
Thoughts anyone?

Or, if you'd prefer an article over a thread, this is on the CBT:

Same test.
Also, look for shakem up test to be sure you are washing well.

There are some inexpensive field tests available from http://B100supply.com and http://fleetbiodiesel.com. They are extremely easy to use and can tell you the basics: water content, acid number (a measure of fuel degradation), glycerin content, and even presence of biodiesel (greater than 10%, greater than 30%).
ASTM D 6751 - The Nation Biodiesel Board uses this set of tests to help producers and marketers determine Quality Biodiesel. You can perform a Google Search and receive alot of informaiton regarding this test. Also, check out http://biodiesel.org for more informaiton on quality biodiesel. Good luck with your biodiesel testing.
