I Need Some Help With Biodiesel in Lackawanna County

I am new to the biodiesel industry and I'm pretty sure on everythin that I want to do. I am looking at an 90 Gallon Biodiesel Processor from http://www.allamericanbiofuels.com/ for $2,000.00 Anyone have any comments on it or any suggestions. It's in the products link. Second of all. I need a good supplier of methanol and lye. I want to pay the least amount of money possible for both of them. And last but not least, Does anyone have FREE Waste Vegetable Oil That is in the Lackawanna County area? Contact me at nosoda4mykids@yahoo.com.

                                                                               Thanks

Update: I noticed that I made a mistake in this Thread. It is an 80 Gallon Processor. NOT a 90 Gallon Processor.

I can only offer advice, at this point when looking for wvo.  I started by finding the closest restaurants/places to eat to my home and asked them.

A deli (<1 mile away) has agreed to give me ~5 gallons every 2-3 weeks (until summer, where it will be more frequent). A chinese restaurant near me (who was paying to get rid of their oil) has agreed to give me theirs (~5 gals a week).  A local diner asked me to come back in a few weeks, but looks promising.

My advice is to visit these types of places during non-busy hours.  I have found success between 10-11am, the managers/owners will have more time to talk.

I like to emphasize that I'm local and will work on their schedule for pick-ups (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly).  Also emphasize 'free of charge'.  For the chinese restaurant, it helped I had a 55 gal. drum to drop off (w/lid).  They are very happy to get rid of their (small dumpster sized) oil bin.

They were also happy to get rid of a few 5 gallon buckets (w/lids) and a carboy (5 gal SVO container).

     I hope that helps.

I wonder what kind of sucess you would have getting oil from the local highschool. Anybody deal with KFC? That place runs on oil.

Monday, good idea about a school...I may look into that..I have a school within 2 miles of my house.

I've heard that getting oils from chains (KFC, McD's, BK, etc) is sometimes tough...they are more prone to have a formal contracts with companies for picking up oil....and the min. wage workers may care less about taking care of collecting oil (leaving top off, getting rain/water in; being messy when pouring oil in containers, etc).  Many seem to recommend the smaller diner type places since you'll probably be dealing with the same person/people month after month.  Just my .02.
