I've been making arrangements for the 2nd Annual Meet-up at the MREA Energy Fair in Custer, WI. Last year I was told, by an MREA representative, that we would be able to reserve a tent this year. Unfortunately, he forgot the mention the $1,000 price tag that comes with the 1-hour tent rental 
; also, apparently, there's been a policy change, disallowing any formal meetings during the noon hour (any other meeting time would use up valuable classroom time). Thus, unless there is a giving soul who has the funds to spare, we'll have to do without the tent. That leaves a few options:
- Set an appropriate meeting place at the fair, at a similar time, and have a meet-up like last years. From last year's reviews, I assume meeting near the the beer tent is best, though we could can it near the Clean Energy Car Show too.
- Meet at an establishment near the MREA fair, but in the evening (not necessarily after the fair closes).
- Meet after hours (7pm or 8 pm), for free, in one of the MREA picnic tents
- Find someone who has clout with the MREA and get us a tent for free.
