An update for anyone living in VTA county, and wanting to support BioDiesel:
Yesterday
we assembled the fueling trailer for the newly formed Ventura County
Biodiesel Cooperative. With Kent Bullard's help, we placed the tanks,
built fuel containment dams across the doors, fastened everthing down,
built the manifold between the 3 tanks, assembled the pump support, and
began wiring for the solar/battery power for the pump.
We've a
bit more to do, but hope to be pumping fuel in April, and will have the
trailer at the Ojai and Ventura Earth Day events for educational, as
well as member recruitment purposes.
We still have membership slots available,
and would encourage anyone who uses BD in the VTA county area to join
up to support this project. Our aim is to build a BD user community
and generate enough "business" that a retailer once again would see the
benefit to offering BD up here again (yes, that's right - we want to be
successful enough that we get put out of business!)
