Hi there, I have about 60 or 70 gallons of refined mineral oil.  This stuff came out of power transformers that we have scrapped.  There are no PCB's in this oil.  I know that this oil can be used as power steering fluid as well as brake fluid.  I want to know if it can be used in the prodution of biodiesel fuel or if it can be filtered and mixed directly with diesel fuel. Any answers I can get will be helpful.  I've been given the ok to recycle this stuff at a couple of auto parts store but I'd rather it go to a better use than that.  Thanks

Ok, I notice that a whole bunch of folks have veiwed this topic and no one has made a reply.  I received an e-mail from a National Bio-deisel research/information/reference group; apparently you cannot use mineral oil for the production of Bio-deisel.  You can, however, use it for brake fluid, power steering fluid, and in some cases engine oil. Refined mineral oil is basically the same thing as synthetic motor oil; it's just pretty light weight.  So if anybody runs accross any of this oil, here are some usages for it.
