Silicon's Effect On Sunflowers (algae) Studied

    Here is the link.

A project that I have been working on with manure yielded a significant amount of silicon and a few papers have been commenting on this same silicon effect. Whilst I was reading this article, I started to think about you algae nuts. Diatoms and many other alga spp have a high % of silicon in them. But too much and its down hill fast. This might help explain the dead zone and why some spp thrive on nasty areas of the world. Also its obvious that Silicon is one more thing a PBR needs to balance out correctly (oy yet another DOE froggy?). Also, another reason why algae doesnt grow very well in distilled RO water yet can grow in tap soil water.

    Score 1 for dirt.

Those that live by the sword, die by the sword. Id rather die of cholesterol from all the butter Im making and selling...
