    Road Tax and homemade biodiesel

    Hey everyone-

I am new to the forum, and I have been looking into purchasing my own sytem to make fuel but I am really concerned about getting into trouble when it comes to paying road tax.  I was reading about a Chemist from Decatur IL that was in trouble with the IRS for running biodiesel for 7 years and he didn't pay any road tax.  Just wanted to know what thoughts were on that.  Thanks guys.

I met this fellow. He's running veg oil, not Biodiesel. The Illinois State Senate actually changed the laws because of this incident.

If you pay road tax is that all you have to pay, or do they try to hit you with other taxes?
