I am making an appleseed processor and wondering the best way to measure the contents in the tank. I know I can measure out a liter at a time and when I get to every 10 liters mark it on the sight tube but there has to be a better (and faster) way.
Thanks for any help.
You won't be able to graduate your sight tube in single liters, thermal expansion will move the level by more than an inch with 10C of temperature change. Perhaps you can graduate it in 10s of liters, but even still it will not be that accurate unless you are able to make your measurements at the same temperature as when you graduated the tube. And your oil is the same temperature.

Ok...So how does everyone else measure the feed stock so you know how much Methanol to add?
I marked my tube in 15L increments on the side tank. I measure the oil and methanol at room temp. Close enough.
