Re: Bio Deisel in SE Idaho
You know, it just takes perseverance. I'd contact one of the big
biodiesel manfucters like Blue Sun or West Central Soy in Iowa,
I think there's one in Salt Lake, buy a bunch of 55-gallon drums
of B-100 and sell it for a profit out of a leased, begged or borrowed space.
Almost like getting into any other specialty retail business.
You're going to have to publicize your business.

Re: Bio Deisel in SE Idaho
IdaVol, I am afraid I don't know anything about sources for B100 in Idaho. If you're thinking about setting up a business of brokering Biodiesel, in the same manner as Blue Sun (Since they do not own or operate their own processor)It would be an extremely difficult challege to accomplish, not to mention take a lot of money.
Sara and Jennifer in California http://www.biofueloasis.com/have had some sucess, you might want to talk with them.
Hope this helps.

Re: Bio Deisel in SE Idaho
Biodiesel is coming to Driggs! Here's an email from Porter Broughton who has taken on this mission:
quote: Dear friends of Biodiesel 5/28/05
Well things are now coming together fast......I think we should try to meet this tuesday night same time (6pm) same space(winter business park in Driggs).. Please call me if you need directions(456 2711)...Anyway a quick update..
1) I will recieve from the ID tax comm my fuel distributors license this week.
2) after long deliberation on permanent tank situation we have arrived at a very cool
solution..First, though, let me say the journey has been interesting.. Anything from underground tank floating up, to above ground inside, to above ground outside, etc, plastic tanks, tank trailers, smaller tanks, etc. So here’s the latest which we’re going with.. We’re gotten thro the fire and insurance regs to the point where we cand half bury a tank up
higher than where it would float up (I’ll show you where at the meeting)
Then we will brim earth up to the point that only the top 1/3 rd of the tank is exposed. Over the summer a shed roof will be built over the tank, which will house the tank and provide a southern roof pitch upon
which we will install two solar panels (hot water type). These (with a
coil inside the tank will keep the fuel warm over the winter. Cool Idea.
A solar guru friend is practically donating the panels to us, and will hook them up..
3) Between Blue sun and their newly established distribution thru Cardwell in SLC
and Rock springs WY, we have ordered 9200 gallons of B100, to be delivered the week of 6/13. Price, plus taxes, plus ID credits, plus distributor credits, will allow us to sell the B100 at or around the current Diesel #2 prices. ( more on this at the meeting)
4) 10000 gal tank (the $2000 one in IF) is being washed on 5/31 and delivered to
WBP on 6/3..We will have a spot dug ( a swale) to place the tank
in by then.. Pump, etc has been ordered........We hope to be ready to receive delivery on time and be ready to pump shortly thereafter.
6)The covering and heating of the tank will take place after we get rolling with sales.
7) we’re working on pre sale cards, etc...
8) more info will be discussed....
Most importantly now, what must happen, is the sale of $100 fuel cards.. All of you who get this email and all your friends: farmers, autos, trucks....any diesel source must be solicited IMMEDIATELY!!!!! Have them buy 3,4,5 cards...Somehow we need to come up with approximately $22000 of fuel money......The closer we get to that amount in the next two weeks will help tremendously...Jackson has yet to get it’s B20 pump up and running so any of you Jackson folks on this list should join the prepay card scene...It’s worth the trip over here to buy B100!!!!.. Simply send or drop off a check at my shop made out to ATS, Inc......105G Johnson Ave. Driggs 83422.. I’ll deposit them in the “fuels” account and issue a card back to you..You’ll be notified as soon as we’re pumping and you can fill up and start the credit against your card.. If you just drop in to buy it after we’re set up you’ll pay at least 10 cents more per gallon...(you can still purchase prepay cards)
As importantly, to those more daring individuals who have offered to help in paying for the infrastructure, WE NEED YOUR $$$ NOW!!! Some of you have already done this, but if those who have not can come forth now, NOW IS GOOD.. Once again make out checks ($1000 increments) (Two can join as one i.e., $500/$500) to ATS, Inc, and we’ll issue a debenture/note type of paper to show recipt of funds....)
More good news will be talked up at the meeting.. If You can’t come remember,
NOW is the time to bring out the checkbooks!!!!!
Hope to see you Tuesday....Porter

Porter's new endeavour is named High Road Biodiesel. Tommorow (Sat 6-25) is the grand opening in Driggs. Only B100 is availiable for you to do as you wish. With a 10,000 gallon tank, High Road is now Blue Sun's largest B100 retailer. Pre purchase a $100 fuel card for substantial discounts. See above post for phone number to get directions to downtown Driggs! Cutting edge in Eastern Idaho!!

Re: Bio Deisel in SE Idaho
Old post, I know, but does anyone have a lead on B100 in Pocatello? I'm coming through on a road trip and need a fill up there. I see that there is B20 on Yellowstone Ave but I'm looking for B100. Any help would be appreciated.
