I see that this thread has grown a little cold but, I can tell you where you can find a long list of biodiesel stations in Texas!

I went to fill up at Alternative Fuel Systems (in Austin, next to the old airport) and they have stopped selling BD.  Reason offered was increasing prices and spotty supplies.  Alas!  I'll have to check on ecowise soon to see if they are still an option.  For now, I went to a Sgnature Shell and got B20 (for $2.79.9/gal, a dime above #2 at a number of places around town).

    Raul

i am interested in your biodiesel. i have run B20 in my 82' 300d a few times but am worried about running b100 because of its potential effects on the fuel lines etc. what has your experience been about switching from dinodiesel to b20 and then from b20 to b100?

i am also interested in trying svo....without having a two tank system in my car......would like to discuss that with you

look forward to hearing back from you....

Re: Where to get biodiesel in Texas

You guys are lucky in Austin to have locations spread all over.  In the Dallas area there's very little.  Closest I've been able to find is in Anna Texas, about 32 miles one way for me from Little Elm.

The Love Truck Stop in Anna, TX used to offer B20 BioWillie, but doesn't appear to any longer.  The BioWillie marketing is non-existent and bump stickers now indicated "Could have up to 5% of biodiesel.

There is a retailer across I-75 from the Loves in Anna that states they sell Biodiesel.  The outside most two big rig pumps have a green sticker that say "biodiesel".  Asked the clerk what the blend was he said B20.  Didn't feel real official.  Is there any requirement of a certification sticker or anything along those lines that should be displayed on the pump stating blend?

Website is inactive!!  I am looking for a supplier of B20 in the Houston area who uses WVO or recycled waste as a feedstock.  Know anyone?

Re: **coop starting??Where to get biodiesel in Texas

Hello everybody. I am exploring the idea of starting a biodiesel club in NW Fort Worth. I loved the idea of making my own BioDiesel but hated the seemingly immense time and energy associated with most approaches. I would rather pay 4.15 a gallon

http://www.biodieselwarehouse.com/xc...0&cat=0&page=1 This high tech piece of equipment can make 2-3 40 gallon batches of high quality biodiesel per week. No need to go through a lot of steps, just dump the stuff in and press a button. Come back in 24 hours and press another button. Naturally convienience has a price, and I am considering starting a COOP of 6-7 to make this feasible. I have no idea if there will be any interest, but if someone else started something like this I would certainly jump at it myself. I am not sure what the monthly cost to belong would be, but I would love it to be 40-50 dollars per month. Perhaps for you Jetta owners there could be a bi-monthly membership since I'm sure you aren't using as much diesel as I am in my Excursion!!!! The fuel would cost approximately 1.00 per gallon in raw material (methanol etc.) You would also have to bring your own WVO to my house. I would have most of the equipment to make this easy (pumps etc) for you to use. I think they even sell a container designed to fit in a Jetta sized trunk. Let me know what you guys think. If there is already something like this in our area that would be even better.
