Since 2002, CCCC has been a leader in Biofuels education throughout the
country. Spawned by a common interest in renewable, domestically
produced, and environmentally friendly fuel, Rachel Burton and Leif
Forer decided to offer a course to educate people about the benefits of
biofuels as well as grassroots production methods. Their passion set
fire to a movement that led CCCC to create a full time curriculum to
expand the efforts of biofuels education in the North Carolina
community college system.
