I like it (from an NBB email):

Running on Biodiesel: The New York City Marathon

Last month's ING New York City Marathon had more than just athletes running – it had generators running, too. And in an effort to give the 26.2 mile course a green sheen, those generators were running on biodiesel.

In recent years, the race has taken steps to cut down on trash and pollution. This year, in addition to recycling tons of cardboard and plastic, donating gear and food, and providing free rides for spectators via pedicabs, B99 (99 percent biodiesel) fueled the generators at the finish line. They provided power to the official clocks, stage, speakers, VIP area and medical tent.

Biodiesel-fueled generators, provided by GreeNow, were also used at the River to River Festival and the papal youth rally at Saint Joseph's Seminary during Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the city in April. GreeNow is an eco-friendly event rental firm dedicated to providing "state-of-the-art environmentally responsible production gear" for events.
