&lt;p&gt;marc&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description><enclosure url="http://www.biodieselnow.com/general_biodiesel_21/m/biodiesel/164351/download.aspx" length="103297" type="image/jpeg" /></item><item><title>solar powered  turbine prototype A</title><link>http://www.biodieselnow.com/general_biodiesel_21/m/biodiesel/163238.aspx</link><pubDate>Fri, 16 Jan 2009 18:32:42 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">adce8cd8-3a6c-44ba-9d59-e655c4137079:163238</guid><dc:creator>ecogenics3</dc:creator><slash:comments>0</slash:comments><description>&lt;p&gt;this is the prototype solar powered generator that i developed&amp;nbsp; while director for &amp;nbsp;the solar&amp;nbsp; energy research project at Lear Siegler&amp;nbsp;. this initial unit used reflectors to augment the solar energy to heat the austenitic stainless steel panel to thetemperatures needed to vaporise the working fluid to the extent that it would discharge through the motor back into condensor turinig the gas into&amp;nbsp;a liquid form. the reflector worked but required a tracking mechanism to keep maximim&amp;nbsp; focus on the sun. in order to discard the cpmplex tracking system i then developed a multilenticular lens array which also served as the cover for the&amp;nbsp; high pressure solar panel. the next picture shows the system with the multilenticular focusing &amp;nbsp;lensarray-cover. it created closely spaced&amp;nbsp;intense hot spots&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;and due to the nature of the lenses that were strategically spaced from center top center&amp;nbsp;created a tracking ability that allowed a wide acceptance angle of concentrated&amp;nbsp;focused solar energy the working fluid was a liquid at 74F but turned to gas at an exponential scale when heated untill it vaporized and expanded into a high pressure gas which then turned the heat engine and consequently, the alternator. as the gas expanded in the confined area within the solar collector.. I hold the proprietary rights to this system which underwent extensive test to destruction because the working fluid is a solvent the&amp;nbsp; proper lubrication of the shaft bearings became a&amp;nbsp; problem at the high rpms developed, we now have solved that problem using MAGLEV technology to replace conventional&amp;nbsp; shaft bearings.&lt;/p&gt;
