  • I'm curious what would need to be done to be able to use biodiesel in my Jeep.  Any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Hi Silverback. Welcome to the site!

To change: Go to a station that sells biodiesel and pump it! It's that simple. Just change the fuel you use.

If you had, say, 100k on there and you were going to run b100 (pure bio) in there, you might want to carry a spare fuel filter around, as biodiesel will clean out a system of the accumulated crud of all those miles driven on petroleum. This is a GOOD thing... it's like cleaning out clogged arteries. But, since yours is a relatively new vehicle, I wouldn't worry about it.

  • Natecape,

Thanks for the welcome! That is the best news I've heard all week! I thought it was going to be a pain, I'll give it a whirl when I get back to the States. Man am I glad I got a diesel.

  • What model Jeep?  A Grand Cherokee?

I have an 08 and am about to start running B20 in it.

I'll post here as well as on JeepForum.com with my experience.
