Biofuel Task force in Karnataka. "They say and we listen"

  • Dear all!

There is a Task force on Biofuel  duly constituted by the State Govt to develop Biofuel in the state.

Most of the memebers are Pro -Govt and especially very close  to the ruling party.

The Task force  is with a very specifc message to promote Biofuel quite suitable for its members and least bothered

to look into any commercial angle.

None from the Industry is ever seen in the meeetings of the Task force nor the task force doing any purposeful work for creating a situation to attract a investor to set up a biodiesel plant in this Karnataka state.

There are some members who act like moral police to curb the activities of others whenever people like me point out any lapses.

The Chairman himself threatened me with actions if I continue to send any mails related to the subject.  I accept this and never scare for these people who are here for a particular period.

    well!

They say that Poongamia is the best!   O.K.

They say that they shall install a Biodiesel plant within Rs500 000.

They say that they can supply manual screw press to extract oil.

    We listened  all these  but.....

What about the cost of seeds?

What is the VAT on non edible oil?

What is the source for methanol?

who will licenese smallest extracting units and Plants?

What is the VAT on Biodiesel?

Is there any secret  agreements  amongst the Task force and its selective people or what?

Are they sure that there is word called accountability in life?  They seems to have forgotten that its a public body.

    Enough is enough!

The Task force  should spell out its plans and programmes publicly and should restrict those who indulge in unwanted acts by several means.

In recent times, we saw the sudden registrations of various organisations perhaps to run away with the schemes its seems.

Let us hope that this Task force correct themself  and act non-partial  towards everyone.

    Bhadrinath.
