The KSRTC Karnataka Road Transport corporation Limited have called for a e tender for the procurement of 25lakhs
liters of Biodiesel.
I know there is no excitement or any valid importance in this.
There was a tender last year in march2009 but it was a failure for the known reasons of KSRTC.
This tender has some Pre qualifiactions!!!!
The aspiring tenderer should have transacted the sale of Biodiesel around 50crores during 2006-2010.
The tenderer should have supplied atleast 40lakhs liters to any Transport companies in India.
The commercial production of the tenderer should be atleast thrty months old.
Apart from all above, the tenderer shall own a manufacturing plant capable of handling multiple feedstocks.
Looking at the above conditions, the KSRTC have decided to favour one particular bidder its seems.
I am from karnataka and I was dreaming all these years that only VAT was the hurdle for my future business of Biodiesel but however all the above hard conditions does show the true colours of Karanataka Govt about its attitude towards killing small enterpreneurs like me by using big players with an intention to send a clear message that Biodiesel business is meant for only a selective company which offers various benefits to the people at high level.
I could suspect there is a possible corruption!!!!!
Sure, I expect the concerned authorities to look into this typical tender and render justice.
As expected, the tender process is differed to 30th Sept.
However, there is no response from any of the following authorities where we presented this case for scrutiny.
a.The Chief Vigilance Commissioner New delhi.
b.The office of The Chief Minister Karnataka.
c.The Lokayuktha of karnataka.
d.The Media connected to news on Govt.lapses.
I continue to update the misdeeds of this KSRTC tender process and leave the issue to the readers to decide.
While the KSRTC put a condition on supply of 40lakhs liters to any Govt.bus company, its understood that they themself have not consumed even Five lakhs liters so far.
The KSRTC advocate for the use of domestic feedstocks in different campaigns while surrendering to procure multi feedstocks of imported origin why?????
While the State Govt talk too much for opportunities in Bioduel in the state why there is not a single plant installed in this state.
Is it due to any special reason?
I am sure!
Karnataka is not the state for installing a commercial Biodiesel production unit considering several issues be it VAT or illicit liquor lobbies who may misuse the handling of methanol.
This tender is closed on 24th sept.and supposed to be opened on 28th.
We expect a fair amount of response from KSRTC!!!!
a.Why there are very small no of participants?
b.why there is no bidder from the state Karnataka?
c.what is the guarantee that the conditions agreed in this tender will not be changed again?
d.what assuarance they can offer to people that there is no favour or likely in terms of Price/liter of Biodiesel.
we have challenfed the KSRTC to get supplies less tha Rs39/liter.
The latest in KSRTC website shows that there were only two bidders namely SOBT Hyderabad and royal energy Mumbai.
If I amright! KSRTC have decided to favour the person who qualifies with the Pre qualifications announced in the tender.
There is no participant from Karnataka while many legends of Biodiesel are there in the state.
The KSRTC must honestly ensure that there is no further arrangements in the tender and let us wait and see how the supplies are to be effected.
People in this Industry are rather not surprised to see the actions of KSRTC on Biodiesel since three years.
We will update further once the price and terms of agreement is out.
